Takko Lacquer 'Kiss the Sky' - Swatches & Review

This polish has been a long-time lemming for me - I nearly bought it when I first saw it on Mei Mei's Signatures a while ago, but by the time I talked myself into spending the money it was sold out! So of course, as soon as that happened I became obsessed with it and stalked Mei Mei's until it came back in stock. It took a while because the creator of Takko Lacquer took a little break. And now its MINE! *evil laughter*

Kiss the Sky is described as 'A deep blu-rple (hybrid purple-blue) jelly lacquer with orange and green duo chrome shimmer'. These pics show 3 coats plus one layer of topcoat.

Application was fantastic, this polish is pigmented and smooth. It was definitely worth the wait! The only thing I did notice is that the green duochrome is really hard to spot (unless your holding your hand at an odd and pretty unnatural angle lol). This wasn't really a big issue for me, the orange shimmer is extremely visible - just something to be aware of.

Arcane Lacquer 'Forget Me Not' - Swatches & Review

Hey guys :)  If you follow my blog, you might remember from my Femme Fatale post that I picked this polish up from the international clearance on Femme Fatale's website.  I was pretty lucky to snag this one, it sold out pretty fast - probably in part because its not available internationally normally, though I believe Llarowe will be stocking them very soon.

Arcane Lacquer is an Australian indie brand from Bec of NailGunXS.  The polishes are 12ml and come in the standard Aussie indie bottle (the same as Emily de Molly, Femme Fatale, Gloss n Sparkle).  'Forget Me Not' is a light grey crelly filled with lavender flakies and micro glitters.

I love how delicate this polish is, its got a gorgeous blue/pink shimmer. The formula was great too - it applied nice and smoothly, but is quite sheer so you do need to do 3 coats for full opacity.

I'll definitely be checking out Llarowe when she launches this brand, meanwhile Australians can purchase Arcane Lacquer at the Esty store. (lucky Australians - you guys have all the good indies! :P)

Gloss 'N Sparkle Melodious: Swatches and Review

My first swatch post!  Not that the pics are even of my hands lol.  My friend (Amie) and I work on this blog together, sometimes swatches will be mine and sometimes they will be hers.  Today they're hers!

Gloss 'n Sparkle Melodious is descibed as 'a dark blue leaning purple with a gorgeous pink shimmer and speckles of holographic gold'.

When on the nail this polish appeared to be more of a blackened purple than a blue, but the rest of the description is pretty accurate.  The shimmer in this polish is super pretty and the gold glitter is a really nice touch.  Formula was good, the polish went on smoothly and I had no problems to report - shown here is 3 coats, with Nailtek base coat and Jordana Quick Shine top coat.
